According to the Ministry of Manpower, in the 3rd quarter (Q3) of 2008, employment grew by 57,800 (Q2 2008 grew by 71,400 & Q3 2007 grew by 58,600) while unemployment rate holds steady at 2.2% after rising for 2 consecutive quarters.
