8/11 – Track Your Journey On Board SMRT Trains

Starting from Friday (7 Nov 08), SMRT will put on trial a journey tracking system called SMRT Active Route Map Information System (STARIS). STARIS provides real-time journey information such as direction of travel, next station, interchange stations and which side of the train to exit from. The trial will last for 2 months and if everything is on track, it should be installed on all SMRT trains by 2010.
