Although Changi International Airport experienced a decline in passenger volume during last four months of 2008 due to the worldwide financial turmoil, the overall passenger traffic for the entire year actually grew by 2.7% as compared to 2007. In total, 37.7 million passengers were handled by Changi International Airport in 2008.
