LTA to Expand Implementation of 2 New Road Safety Measures in Singapore

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will extend two new road safety measures – Traffic Calming Markings (TrCM) and Your Speed Sign (YSS) to more locations, based on favorable results from its pilot test.

By end August 2009, the LTA will expand the implementation of TrCM, beginning with 6 locations at Ghim Moh Road near Blk 14, Whitley Road towards PIE (Tuas) near CJC, Lentor Road near the junction of Lentor Loop/ Lentor Road, Upper East Coast Road near Parbury Avenue, BKE (Woodlands) – Bukit Panjang exit and Woodlands Avenue 6.

By December 2009, YSS will be implemented at PIE (Tuas) – Clementi Ave 6 exit.
