Over 400 participants on 9 July 2009 made history with the concluding of Singapore’s longest reading marathon. The Reading Marathon belongs to this year’s READ! Singapore 2009, Singapore’s nationwide reading initiative set up by the National Library Board (NLB), which targets to cultivate a love for reading fiction among Singaporeans.
With this event, NLB has set an official record for the “Longest Reading Aloud Marathon by Multiple Readers” in the Singapore Book of Records.
